Sen. Kamala Harris Wants To Protect Voters During The November 2020 Election

Senator Kamala Harris (D) California sat down with Rolling Stone‘s senior writer, Jamil Smith Thursday for a candid conversation. Harris envisions a new normal when it comes to voting in the forthcoming 2020 Election. In the interview, She discussed her new legislation Safe Vote Act. A bill which would ensure all Americans can exercise their civic duty; without fear of contracting COVID during the process. “It should not be an inconvenience to exercise your voice,” Harris said. She believes we should implement curbside voting and strategies to reduce voting wait time.

Early this month, the state of Wisconsin put playing politics as usual over the livelihood of our people. Black and brown people in Milwaukee County were overwhelmingly affected by voter suppression tactics.
