Flint resident, Cynthia Haynes uses her spirit of giving to celebrate veterans in her community.
Saturday, November 23, from noon to 4 P.M at the historic Mona’s Cocktail Lounge, soldiers and their families can be served a FREE thanksgiving meal.
“We have to show our community how much we care, these are our neighbors who fought for our freedom,” says Haynes.
Community members can expect a full service lunch special of a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
As a life long community member, Haynes has became a positive role model for the next generation. It is her mission to see the most vulnerable citizens thrive in a safe and open environment.
“One child dying in my neighborhood is one too many,” Haynes explained.
Bringing folks together to celebrate life may truly be a passion for Miss Haynes.
During the summer of 2019, Haynes partnered with Joe Pettigrew with one goal in mind- empower everyday people to engage in the social change movement taking place in Flint. With Haynes determination, the duo hosted a BBQ luncheon in Flint’s third ward.
